Presque Isle, ME - Despite holding advantages in shots (9-7) and corner kicks (11-4) on Saturday, the Monks were dealt a 1-0 setback by Maine Presque Isle. The St. Joe's record stands at 8-10 overall.

The Monks failed to convert on scoring opportunities and UMPI's Matt Petrie scored the game winning goal at 15:05.

Freshman Cory Smith (Ellsworth, ME) had two saves in the loss and Scott Clenchy recorded six saves for the Owls.

St. Joe's will face Maine Presque Isle on Saturday, November 4th at 1:30 p.m. in the Association of DIII Independents Championship hosted by Mitchell College in New London, CT.
