STANDISH, Maine – Three members of the Saint Joseph's College men's soccer program—senior Joseph Perron (South Portland, Maine) and sophomores Nick Marion (Windham, Maine) and Curtis Metcalf (South Portland, Maine)—have been named to the College Sports Communicators' 2025 Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team, as announced Tuesday.

Perron, a Business Administration major and veteran forward, appeared in 16 games with 14 starts during his senior campaign, contributing a goal and two assists for four points. His versatility proved invaluable, as he shifted between attacking and defensive roles throughout the season and developed into a reliable presence on the back line down the stretch. This marks Perron's second career CSC Academic All-District honor and his first since 2023. Over 61 career games, he recorded four goals and four assists for 12 points.

Marion, a sophomore forward majoring in Exercise Science: Pre-PT, collects the first academic honor of his career following a breakout season that also earned him First Team All-Conference recognition. The dynamic striker led the Monks with nine goals and six assists for 24 points and ranked among the GNAC's top offensive performers—finishing third in assists and fifth in both goals and points.

Metcalf, a Business & Sports Management major, also earns his first Academic All-District nod after posting five goals and one assist for 11 points in 2025. The sophomore striker continued to grow as an impact player in the Monks' attack.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 16, 2025 (men) and Dec. 17, 2025 (women).

To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must participate in at least 90 percent of their team's matches—or start a minimum of 66 percent—and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
