Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Monks Fall to Saints, 6-1

BOSTON, Massachusetts – Two different players scored as the Emmanuel College Saints defeated the Saint Joseph's College Monks 6-1 in a non-conference women's soccer game Tuesday evening. 

How It Happened:

Emmanuel College opened the scoring at the 9:46 mark with a goal from Sarah Dullaghan. Dullaghan went on to score two more goals during the first half bringing the Saints to a 3-0 lead. 

Bridget Davis (Scarborough, Maine) kicked off the scoring during the second half of play with the Monks lone goal in the forty-seventh minute of play. Dullaghan responded to Bridget Davis' goal for the Saints with two more goals in the 56th and 80th minute of play to increase the Saints lead to 5-1. The Saints added a 6th goal in the 86th minute from Reese Cromwell. 

SJC keeper Ashlyn Guerette (Merrimack, N.H.) was strong in goal for the Monks making twelve saves, including seven in the second half.

The Saints held the advantage in shots (34-4), shots on goal (18-3), and corner kicks (12-0). The Saints have won three of the last four matchups against the Moks.

Saint Joseph's will host Johnson and Wales on Saturday at home with kickoff set for 3pm.
