The Saint Joseph's College Monks took on the Rivier University Raiders to celebrate their Senior Day on Saturday afternoon in Standish, ME at 12 p.m. Saint Joseph's seniors honored before their matchup against the raiders were
Kassidy Collins,
Audra Gearin, Abygail Jaques,
Haley Jackson, and Cassidy Saindon.
The Monks took the early lead with a Goal from Junior Forward
Maya Waryas (Bellows Fall, VT). The Raiders got to work quickly and responded when Hailey Morse scored to tie it at 1 a piece at 12:02 into the game. After 60 minutes of play, the tie remained 1-1. The Raiders and Monks jumped into a 7 vs 7 sudden death overtime to determine the winner. Just 3:14 into overtime, Senior Forward
Abbie Jacques (Mount Vernon, ME) put one past the Rivier goaltender to secure the win for the Monks on her senior night. The assist went to Freshman Midfielder

The Monks will face Gordon College on Monday, October 28th, at 5 p.m. in Standish for their next game.
