NORTON, Massachusetts – Saint Joseph's College (1-1) secured their first win of the season with an 82-74 victory over Wheaton College (MA) (1-1) in a non-conference men's basketball contest in the Wheaton Invitational on Saturday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Junior forward Wani Remijo scored 27 points and John Paul Frazier scored 20 points to lead the Saint Joseph's College men's basketball team over Wheaton College (MA), 82-74,tonight on the final night of the Wheaton Invitational at Emerson Gymnasium in Norton, Mass.
The Monks improve to 1-1 in the season. The Lyons fall to 1-1 on the year.
The Monks shot 59.6% (31-52) for the game, while holding the Lyons to a 40.9% (27-66) mark. The Monks owned a 33-31 rebounding margin but committed 16 turnovers in the game.
Silvano Ismail contributed with 16 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds and Wani Donato chipped in with 10 points on 5-8 shooting in addition to grabbing four rebounds.
The Monks trailed in the game by six at the end of the first half and trailed by 11 in the second. During the last five minutes of play, the Monks pulled ahead to secure the win with points from John Paul Frazier, Derek Salvatore, Remijo Wani, and Wani Donato leaving the court with an eight point lead.

Saint Joseph's pulled off the victory with the help of a solid 59.6% (31-52) shooting percentage and a 26.1% three-point shooting performance.

- John Paul Frazier was 3-for-10 from downtown with 20 points and one board
