The Saint Joseph's College Monks Women's Field Hockey team hosted the Regis College Pride
for a GNAC match-up on Tuesday evening in Standish.
The Monks came out hot against the Pride and kept them off the scoreboard. Junior Kienna
Haley (Scarborough, Maine) opened up the scoring 9:45 into the game, recording her 8th goal
of the season. 1:42 into the second quarter, Freshman
Isabella Littler (Fayette, Maine) put the
Monks up 2-0. Monks kept adding to their lead when Senior
Abbie Jacques (Mount Vernon,
Maine) made it 3-0. The Monks scored their fourth and final goal when Freshman
Katie Yeaton
(Farmington, Maine) scored her first collegiate goal. The Monks ended the game with 20 shots
and 8 penalty corners. Senior
Kassidy Collins (Gardiner, Maine) started in net for the Monks and
recorded 2 saves.
The Monks will play their next match against Anna Maria College on Friday, September 27th, in
Paxton, Massachusetts.
