Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Chargers Sink Monks 2-0

Colby Sawyer netted a pair of goals to defeat Saint Joseph's College 2-0, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

The match remained scoreless until the 80:32 minute of play when Nick Carrabino assisted by Colby Sawyer Ryan Wilson netted the Chargers first goal of the night. The Chargers scored their second goal of the evening in the 83rd minute of play when Josh Warner, assisted by Judson DiMaria and Ryan Wilson put one past SJC Liam Foley.

Despite the loss, the Monks remained even in seven shots on goal for the day. The Chargers held the lead in corner kicks 7-6 and shots 11-8. 

Gus Ford led the Monks with three shots and Patricio Mowa followed closely behind with two shots.

Saint Joseph's looks to get back on track on Tuesday with a home GNAC game versus Norwich University. Opening kick-off is set for 5PM.
