Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine — The Saint Joseph's College (11-5, 4-1) women's basketball team fell to the fourth-ranked Bowdoin College Polar Bears (16=0, 3-0) in a non-conference contest on Tuesday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Polar Bears jumped out ahead of the Monks with a 28-8 advantage in the first quarter. The Monks shot 27.27% in the first quarter to the Polar Bears 55.56%. While the Monks were able to better their shooting percentage in the second quarter (33.33%), the Polar Bears headed into the intermission with a 43-18 advantage.
The Monks continued to improve in the third quarter, shooting 4-10 from the field, their best of the game, but couldn't catch the Polar Bears. The Polar Bears outscored the Monks 18-11 in the the third quarter.
Unfortunately for the Monks, a comeback in the fourth quarter was not in the cards as the Monks made 4-of-15 field goal attempts and were outscored by a 11-8 margin.

The Monks shot just 15-48 from the floor in the setback compared to the Polar Bears 29-56 field goal shooting percentage.
