GORHAM, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's track and field team had a stellar performance at the USM Husky Invitational on Saturday, January 25, 2025, highlighted by multiple school records and personal bests. The Monks placed third out of eleven teams, accumulating 85 points. Plymouth State took home the team title with 103 points, followed by Franklin Pierce (102 pts).
"Really proud of how we competed today. We took advantage of the opportunity, and the work our athletes have been putting in showed in the results," said Head Coach Mike Burleson. "Many personal bests and four school records in the heart of the season put us in a great spot only a few weeks out from our conference championships. Haytham had an impressive race for the second week in a row, shattering the school record in the 600m and proving to be one of the best mid-distance athletes in New England.
Tudum Monday had the meet of his life, going three for three with school records in the hurdles, triple jump, and the 4x200m relay."
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
Sophomore
Haytham Ramadan (Khartoum, Sudan) delivered a standout performance, shattering the school record in the 600 meters and winning the event with an impressive time of 1:22.80.Â
Fellow sophomore
Tudum Monday (Lewiston, Maine) also had a historic day, breaking his own record in the 55-meter hurdles with a winning time of 8.06. Monday added to his accolades by setting a new school record in the Triple Jump with a leap of 13.03m (42'9"), earning second place, and contributing to the record-breaking 4x200 relay team.Â

Isaac Keresey (Pittsfield, Maine) capped off the day with a first-place finish in 3:28.14, securing 10 points for the Monks.
SPRINTS AND RELAYS
Batoosingh led the Monks in the 55 meters, placing fourteenth overall with a time of 6.84.
Dalton Feeney followed with a 34th-place finish, crossing the line in 7.26.
In the 200 meters, Corriveau continued to shine, finishing third in 23.12 to earn six points for the Monks. Batoosingh placed fourteenth (23.97), with Ricker finishing fifteenth (24.07). Mills and Leydon rounded out the event, finishing thirty-sixth (25.36) and forty-ninth (27.45), respectively.Â
Keresey showcased his versatility in the 400 meters, placing second in a season-best time of 52.32. Zocolo (58.25) and Feeney (58.60) completed the event in fourteenth and fifteenth.
The 4x200 relay team of Read, Corriveau, Batoosingh, and Monday shattered the school record, finishing second overall with a time of 1:33.32. The 4x400 relay team of Ricker, Schmader, Ramadan, and Keresey dominated their event, placing first in 3:28.14 to secure ten points.
DISTANCEÂ
Ramadan was the highlight of the distance events, breaking the school record in the 600 meters and winning the race in 1:22.80. Schmader followed closely in second with a time of 1:24.61, while Grant secured sixth (1:32.98).
In the 800 meters, McManus earned a point for the Monks, finishing sixth in 2:10.78. Mills placed seventh (2:10.88), with Shaw coming in eleventh (2:21.42).
Graham led the Monks in the 3000 meters, earning a fifth-place finish in 9:37.62. Seredin followed in eighth, clocking in at 9:53.66.
HURDLES
Monday set a school record in the 55-meter hurdles, winning the event in 8.06 while punching his ticket for a New England Championship appearance. Read also had a strong showing, finishing third with a time of 8.24.
JUMPS
Corriveau led the Monks in the Long Jump, placing fifth with a mark of 6.37m (20'10.75"). Read followed in eleventh (5.96m, 19'6.75").Â
In the Triple Jump, Monday set another school record, finishing second with a mark of 13.03m (42'9"). Knight placed sixth with a jump of 11.99m (39'4").
THROWS
Quinney led the Monks in the Weight Throw, placing tenth with a mark of 12.27m (40'3.25"). James finished twenty-second (10.64m), while Fredette, Vasquez, and Balch completed the event with throws of 8.62m, 8.13m, and 7.10m, respectively.
In the Shot Put, James placed eleventh with a throw of 11.65m (38'2.75"). Quinney followed in nineteenth (10.86m), with Greslick and Feeney tying for thirtieth (9.78m).
