STANDISH, Maine – Emmanuel College (10-3-3, 9-0-2 GNAC) defeated Saint Joseph's College (7-6-1, 6-4-1 GNAC), 5-0, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer play at the SJC Athletics Complex on Wednesday night.

The Saints built a commanding lead early with three goals in the opening 11 minutes, including tallies from Liz McCormick, Paige Letourneau, and Aleena Solano. In the second half, Sarah Dullaghan and Letourneau added insurance markers to complete the shutout.

Emmanuel held the lead in shots (32-1), shots on goal (20-1), and corner kicks (12-0) in the victory.

SJC sophomore goalkeeper Ashlyn Guerette (Merrimack, N.H.) did her best to keep the Monks in the game, registering 14 saves against 32 total attempts.

Saint Joseph's will play at University of Saint Joseph on Saturday in a conference matchup set to start at 2:30 PM.
