Women's Cross Country Picked Fourth in Pre-Championship Poll

WINTHROP, Mass. – The GNAC Women's Cross Country Championship is set to feature a highly competitive field, as revealed in the league's pre-championship coaches' poll. Five-time reigning champion Colby-Sawyer College and Emmanuel College share the top spot with 105 points each, including nine first-place votes for Colby-Sawyer, signaling a tight race for the crown. Norwich University, with one first-place vote, sits at third with 96 points, followed closely by Saint Joseph's College (Maine) with 89 points. The top five is rounded out by Simmons University at 73 points.

The remainder of the poll includes Lasell University – 64 points (sixth), Regis College – 60 points (seventh), New England College (NEC) – 52 points (eighth, one first-place vote), Elms College – 32 points (ninth), Dean College and Mitchell College – tied for 10th with 25 points each

With Colby-Sawyer and Emmanuel locked in a tie atop the poll, the championship promises to be a thrilling showdown, while teams like Norwich, SJC, and Simmons look to challenge for podium positions.
