NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Saint Joseph's College of Maine women's cross country team placed third overall at the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship on Saturday afternoon at Norwich University, marking one of the program's strongest finishes in recent history.
The Monks posted 68 points and claimed the podium position via tiebreaker over Norwich. Freshman
Amber Pendleton led the effort with a 6th-place finish to earn GNAC Rookie of the Year honors. Sophomore
Haley Williams and junior
Meghan Cyr followed closely in 7th and 9th place, respectively, giving Saint Joseph's three runners inside the top 10. Senior
Alexia Young closed scoring in her final GNAC Championship appearance.

Amber Pendleton (Warren, Maine) — GNAC Women's Rookie of the Year
Pendleton's Rookie of the Year performance capped a standout debut season finishing 6th with a time of 24:53. The freshman was one of Saint Joseph's most consistent front-runners throughout the fall, including earning GNAC Rookie of the Week honors after her performance at the Keene State College Invitational with a time of 25:09 — the fastest effort recorded by any GNAC freshman that week.
