STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its weekly award winners, and Saint Joseph's College junior forward Zander Haskell (Scarborough, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
Haskell delivered a remarkable performance in Saturday's GNAC Quarterfinal, scoring all three goals to propel the fourth-seeded Monks to a 3–1 comeback victory over Dean College. His hat trick marked the first by an SJC player since Austin Ward '22 tallied a program-record five goals at Colby-Sawyer on October 12, 2022.
In just 12 appearances this season, Haskell has found the back of the net eight times and currently ranks second on the team in both goals and points (16).
With the win over Dean, Saint Joseph's (8-8-1, 7-4-1 GNAC) advances to the GNAC Semifinal round and will travel to face top-seeded University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (11-4-2, 9-1-2 GNAC) on Tuesday at 6:00 PM, with a berth in the conference championship on the line.
