PAXTON, MA-The Saint Joseph's (3-3, 2-0) women's lacrosse team rolled past Anna Maria (0-5, 0-2) with a commanding 19-2 victory on Saturday. With the win, the Monks improved to 3-3 and 2-0 in the GNAC while Anna Maria fell to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in league action.
Saint Joseph's set the tone early, jumping out to a dominant 10-0 lead in the first quarter and never looking back. The Monks controlled possession throughout, outshooting Anna Maria 37-13 and forcing 20 turnovers while committing just 10.
Mackenzie Siebert (Naples, ME) led the offensive charge with four goals and an assist. Celia Melanson (Waterford, ME) and Ella Highbarger (Kennebunk, ME) each netted three goals, while Sophia Burton (Westtown, NY) contributed two goals and a team-high three assists. Isabella Morrill also found the back of the net twice.
Saint Joseph's goalkeeping trio of Morgan Wright (Chelmsford, MA), Julia Price (Newbury, MA), and Alexis Eldridge (Effingham, NH) combined for six saves, with Price picking up the win. Anna Maria's Grace Holden was busy in net, making 15 saves despite the lopsided score.
The Monks held the edge in several key statistical categories, including ground balls (19-11), draw controls (13-10), and clears (14-15 compared to Anna Maria's 7-12).

- Sophia Burton lead the Monks in assists with three, ground balls with four, and five points
