STANDISH, ME-Saint Joseph's cruised to a dominant 25-3 win over Elms College in women's lacrosse. With the victory, the Monks improved to 5-3 overall and stayed perfect in conference play at 3-0, while the Blazers dropped to 1-4 on the season.
The Monks wasted no time setting the tone, exploding for 10 unanswered goals in the first quarter.
Mackenzie Siebert (Naples, ME) got things rolling just 50 seconds in with an unassisted goal, and from there, Saint Joseph's never looked back.
Ella Highbarger (Kennebunk, ME) added two quick goals, and by the end of the quarter, seven different Monks had found the back of the net.
Saint Joseph's kept the pressure on in the second quarter, stretching the lead to 15-1. Greta Frankwicz put Elms on the board at the 5:17 mark, but the Monks quickly responded with another goal from
Zoey Lailer (Limington, ME) before halftime.
The third quarter was all Saint Joseph's, as they tacked on six more goals while keeping Elms off the board. The Blazers managed to break through with two goals in the final frame, but the Monks countered with four more to seal the convincing win.
Saint Joseph's controlled the game in every phase, outshooting Elms 37-11, including an 18-1 advantage in the opening quarter. They dominated possession, winning 21 of 30 draw controls and converting all 17 clear attempts.

- Jackie Cronin factored into all three Blazers goals, finishing with one goal and two assists. She also led the team with 8 draw controls and four ground balls.

- Katherine Ingram played nearly the entire game, recording eight saves while allowing 24 goals
- Marisa LaRocque saw less than a minute of action, allowing one goal.
