STANDISH, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's track and field team delivered a commanding performance to win their third consecutive title at the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Competing on their home track at the SJC Outdoor Complex across April 26–27, the Monks piled up an impressive 316 points and swept every track event on their way to a historic victory.
"We battled hard this weekend, capping off a special season for Monks Track and Field" says Head Coach Mike Burelson, "Our women have been fully committed from day one, pushing our program to new heights. It's exciting to see that success and we can't wait to carry that momentum into next season. The men have truly put in the work all year, and it was incredible to see them rise to the occasion and dominate at home".
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Abdirizak Abukar won the 100m (11.17) and 200m (22.43), anchored the winning 4x100m (42.47) and 4x400m (3:24.94) relays, and hit a New England DIII qualifying mark in the 100m with a 10.99 in prelims.
- Tudum Monday swept the hurdles, winning the 110m hurdles (15.86) and 400m hurdles (56.76), qualifying for the New England DIII Championships in the 400m hurdles.
- Dylan Dickey won the discus with a throw of 40.05m (131'5") and claimed the javelin title with a huge personal best mark of 60.14m (197'4") for 21st in the Nation.
- Ryan Graham completed a distance double, winning the 5000m (16:41.32) and 10,000m (35:59.87), while also placing 3rd in the 1500m.
- Isaac Keresey captured the pole vault title (3.66m), finished 2nd in the 400m hurdles (57.56) with a New England qualifying mark, and placed 2nd in the 1500m.
- Alexey Seredin won the 3000m steeplechase (10:52.26) and finished 3rd in the 10,000m.
- Matthew Corriveau placed 2nd in the long jump with a mark of 6.51m (21'4.25") and helped the 4x100m relay secure first place.
- The 4x100m, 4x400m, and 4x800m relay teams swept the relay events, clocking winning times of 42.47, 3:24.94, and 8:32.41 respectively.

The Monks owned the sprint events, led by junior
Abdirizak Abukar, who captured the 100m (11.17) and 200m (22.43) titles.
Tyler Ricker added a 400m gold (52.03), and Saint Joseph's swept the relays, winning the 4x100m (42.47), 4x400m (3:24.94), and 4x800m (8:32.41).
MID-DISTANCE & DISTANCE
John McManus won the 800m (2:07.81), while
Haytham Ramadan and
Ryan Graham led a sweep of the distance events — Ramadan winning the 1500m (4:25.43) and Graham doubling in the 5000m (16:41.32) and 10,000m (35:59.87).
Alexey Seredin added a steeplechase win (10:52.26) to close out the distance dominance.
HURDLES
Tudum Monday turned in a stellar weekend, winning both the 110m hurdles (15.86) and 400m hurdles (56.76), with both he and
Isaac Keresey qualifying for New Englands in the 400m hurdles.
JUMPS
Dylan Dickey dominated the throwing events, winning the discus (40.05m) and javelin (60.14m) titles, with his javelin throw achieving a New England DIII qualifying mark.
Andrew James added points in both shot put and discus.
