Women Shine at Jim Sheehan Meet with Depth, Wins, and Records

FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's College women's track and field team delivered a standout performance at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Meet hosted by Fitchburg State on Saturday. Under tough, wet, and chilly conditions, the Monks displayed resilience and competitive fire, setting four new school records and piling up multiple top finishes across all event areas.

"We're incredibly proud of the grit and determination displayed by all of our athletes this weekend under less than ideal conditions," said Head Coach Mike Burleson. "The women's team had a standout performance, taking a huge step forward in how they approached and executed the day. From start to finish, they were aggressive, focused, and determined—and their hard work paid off in spectacular fashion. Four new school records were set this weekend, with several other top performances that highlight the incredible depth of talent within the team. Whether it was on the track or in the field, the women's team proved that they are a force to be reckoned with."
