STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College Women's Volleyball Head Coach Jon Roberts is pleased to announce the 2025 Volleyball incoming recruiting class.
Entering his eighth season at the helm, Coach Roberts welcomes a group of high-level student-athletes with competitive club backgrounds who will contribute across every position on the court. The Monks are coming off a 15-17 campaign, including an 11-5 record in GNAC play. The 2024 squad tallied over 1,100 kills and 1,600 digs while averaging 9.8 kills, 14.6 digs, and 2.1 aces per set. Offensively, the Monks were led by Victoria Briones (2.53 K/S), Greta Mackintosh (1.89 K/S), and Maggie Sylvester (1.86 K/S), while Riley Greenley anchored the back row with 4.13 assists per set and 162 digs.
"I am very excited to welcome our incoming class! Each one of them reflects the type of people we value in our program," said Coach Roberts. "These players represent every position on a volleyball team and bring a wealth of high-level club experience with them. We know they are going to have an immediate impact on the level in our gym, and I believe they are going to do special things while they are here at Saint Joseph's!"
The Monks will kick off the 2025 season with a non-conference match versus Southern Maine on Friday, August 29th at University of New England.

Why Saint Joseph's? I chose Saint Joe's because of how welcoming everyone was when I came to visit and how comfortable I felt.
High School: Played four years of varsity volleyball at Barrington High School…Libero/DS…career stats: 183 sets played, 280 kills, 210 digs, 209 aces, 743 assists…named Tournament MVP and First Team All Division 2 as a senior…broke the school record for single-season aces (118)…also earned 3rd Team All Division 2 as a junior and 4th Team as a sophomore…helped her team win the State Championship her senior year and reach the semifinals as a junior…Honor Roll all four years…Club experience includes Blast Volleyball (15-1s) and South County (16 White, 17 Gold, 18 Gold)…earned MVP honors at the Wicked Good Challenge, Boston Festival, and AAU Champions League… Community involvement includes volunteering at two ALS walks, three clinics, four high school camps, and middle school volleyball sessions.

High School: Played four years of volleyball at Birdville High School…Defensive Specialist/Setter…career stats include 611 digs and 513 sets over three years…averaged 2.6 digs/set and 1.7 assists/set as a sophomore, 2.4 digs/set and 2.5 assists/set as a junior, and 2.9 digs/set and 1.9 assists/set as a senior…named 2023 All-District Honorable Mention and 2024 Second Team All-District…Academic All-District all four years…helped team to a fifth-round finish at Regionals in 2023…played club for Texas Image 14 Elite Black (captain), Texas Image 15 Red, No Limits 16 Blue (captain), No Limits 17 Black (captain), and Integrity 18 Intense (captain)…logged 50+ hours of community service through church, Birdville Buddies, the local fire department, and Shattered Dreams programming.

Why Saint Joseph's? Coach Roberts was such an inviting coach, and really sold the idea of coming to play at Saint Joe's. The nature around the campus was beautiful, being right on the lake was one of my top reasons for choosing St. Joe's. Everyone I talked to from the school really seemed to love the community.
High School: Played four years of volleyball at Glenelg High School…Libero…varsity career included 801 digs, 144 aces, and 166 assists…earned Second Team All-County as a junior and senior…named to the All-Tournament Team at the Linganore High School Tournament…helped lead team to the 2021 Maryland State Championship as a freshman and regional and Howard County titles as a junior…Honor Roll student… Club volleyball with Maryland Juniors for seven years, always competing on the top team (Elite Black)...Community service included three years in the Cancer Kids First Club, creating care packages, cards, and crafts for children with cancer.

Why Saint Joseph's? The community and camaraderie of the athletics, while still being able to maintain quality education that is going to help me thrive, is why I chose to attend St. Joseph's College.
High School: Played four years of volleyball at Springboro High School…Middle Blocker…named November 2023 Teammate of the Month…All-Conference and All-Region Academic Team selection…team reached Division 1 District Finals/Regional Semifinals in 2022 and 2023 and Division 1 District Semifinals in 2024…earned Principal's List honors, an Honors Diploma, and was a member of the National Honor Society and Honor Roll…Played five years with Elevation Volleyball Club, including Elevation 17 Conner (9th in the nation at 2024 USAV Nationals in Las Vegas) and Elevation 18 Lehman (CanAm Classic runner-ups)...Community involvement included volunteering at S.T.E.M.
