BANGOR, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's golf team competed in the Husson Invitational at Bangor Municipal Golf Course on Saturday.
USM claimed the team title with a +11 (295), edging out the Eagles by five strokes. SMCC followed closely in third at +17 (301), while Colby finished fourth at +20 (304) and UNE rounded out the top five at +26 (310).
UMF finished sixth with a +41 (325), MMA took seventh at +50 (334), while UMPI finished eighth with a +55 (339). Saint Joseph's closed out the standings in 10th with a +56 (340).
USM's Alex Grant claimed Medalist honors with a -4 (67) card while Matt Quigley of SMCC placed second (-1, 70) and Johnny Kinsley (Colby), Ben Donahue (UNE), and Will Farschon (SMCC) tied for third with one-over-par 72 cards.
FOR THE MONKS:
- Sophomore Kyle Bowlan (Pelham, N.H.) led the way for the Monks with an 81 (+10), highlighted by pars on seven of his final nine holes – including a trio of birdies - to steady his round.
- Freshman Finn Manning (Carver, Mass.) followed with an 84 (+13), carding a solid 42 on both the front and back nine and avoiding any big numbers while stringing together consistent pars (9) and bogeys (6).
- Junior Zach Stone (Gray, Maine) posted an 87 (+16), including a 42 on the front nine before running into trouble on the par-4 13th, but he finished strong with pars on six of his last eight holes.
- Sophomore AJ Davis (Turner, Maine) signed for an 88 (+17), playing steady golf on the front side (45) before finishing with a 43 on the back, highlighted by pars on five of the last eight holes.
- Junior Noah Tibbetts (Brewer, Maine) shot an 89 (+18) and was not included in the team scoring, though he carded a birdie on the par-4 13th hole and kept his round close to the team's top four.

Saint Joseph's next competes in the Albertus Magnus Invitational on Thursday in New Haven, giving the Monks valuable experience on the same New Haven Country Club layout that will host the 2025 GNAC Championship on October 13–14.
