BANGOR, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College women's golf team competed in the Husson Invitational at Bangor Municipal Golf Course on Saturday.
Bates captured the team title with a +24 (308), finishing well clear of the field. UNE followed in second at +71 (355), edging Husson by two strokes as the Eagles placed third with a +73 (357). USM checked in fifth at +111 (395), while Saint Joseph's rounded out the standings in sixth with a +142 (426).
Individually, Sarah Wicks (Bates) claimed medalist honors with a near-even round of 72 (+1). She finished three shots ahead of the field, while teammate Tory Adams and UNE's Abby Flanagan shared runner-up honors with matching 75 cards (+4).
FOR THE MONKS:
- Sophomore Reese Beaudoin (Monmouth, Maine) paced the Monks with an 89 (+18), playing consistent golf with balanced 44–45 splits on the front and back nines.
- Senior Averi Beaudoin (Monmouth, Maine) followed with a 93 (+22), highlighted by birdies on the par-5 fourth hole and the par-5 15th hole.
- Senior Mackenzie Murphy (Weymouth, Mass.) carded a 119 (+48) and freshman Caitlin Henry (Wells, Maine) rounded out the lineup with a 125 (+54).
