STANDISH, Maine – Colby College (3-1-1) erased an early deficit with three unanswered goals to defeat Saint Joseph's College (1-4-0), 3-1, in non-conference men's soccer action at the SJC Athletics Complex on Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Despite Colby carrying the bulk of the early play, it was the Monks who struck first when junior Cole Bishop (Gorham, Maine) finished a feed from Joseph Perron (South Portland, Maine) in the eighth minute.
The Mules equalized in the 25th minute as Will Kogleman slipped a shot past SJC keeper Brendan L'italien (Douglas, Mass.), who was making his first collegiate start. Colby claimed the lead nine minutes later when Anthony Bugliari converted off a pass from Jude Gussen, and Bugliari added his second of the night in the 38th minute with help from Colin Leon and Gussen to close out the scoring.

Colby held decisive advantages in shots (23-5), shots on goal (10-3), and corner kicks (7-1).
