STANDISH, Maine – The 2025 SJC Alumni & Friends Golf Classic, presented by SeaBee Electric and held at Spring Meadow Golf Club in Gray, Maine on Friday, September 5, was a resounding success.
A full field of 36 foursomes—144 participants in total—took to the course with a shotgun start. In addition to the round of golf, the event featured a corn hole contest, a putting competition, and other fun activities throughout the day.
The weather offered a little of everything - blue skies, a brief shower, and warm temperatures in the low 80s - as play stretched from 9:00 AM to about 3:00 PM. By the driving range, burgers and hot dogs were served fresh off the grill, and the day concluded with an awards ceremony before participants departed after enjoying a great day on the Spring Meadow greens.
The Alumni & Friends Golf Classic stands as one of the Athletics Department's largest and longest-running fundraisers, with proceeds supporting a wide range of programs and initiatives. In past years, funds have contributed to enhancements across athletics facilities and student-athlete experiences. This year's tournament netted more than $43,000, marking another record-setting effort.
Director of Athletics Chris Willer expressed his gratitude:
"We had an incredible show of support from alumni, friends, family, and staff at this year's event. Monks Nation continues to back our student-athletes in a big way, and I'm so thankful to everyone who made this another record-setting year."
