CASCO, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's golf team placed sixth out of nine teams with a 332 (+44) card in the 22nd Annual John Queenan Memorial Tournament at the Point Sebago Golf Resort on Wednesday.
The yearly tournament is named in memory of John Queenan, a 2003 graduate of Bow High School who died tragically in an automobile accident just prior to the beginning of his freshman year as a student-athlete at Saint Joseph's.
Led by co-medalist Alex Grant, who shot a 71 (-1), the University of Southern Maine won the team title with a 308 (+20) score while Husson University placed second with a 316 (+28) card, and Southern Maine Community College was third with a 318 (+30) team score. Gordon College (318, +33), University of New England (322, +34), Saint Joseph's (332, +44), Central Maine Community College (336, +48), Maine Maritime Academy (346, +58), and UMaine-Farmington (362, +74) rounded out the list of competing institutions.
Individually, SMCC's Will Farschon tied with Grant with a 71 (-1) card to earn co-medalist honors while Owen Lee (UNE), Keenan Buteau (USM B) and Quinn Dillon (USM B) finished in a three-way tie for third with 75 (+3) cards.

- Sophomore AJ Davis (Turner, Maine) finished sixth with a 76 (+4) card
- Freshman Finn Manning (Carver, Mass.) shot an 84 (+12) and placed 24th
- Juniors Zach Stone (Gray, Maine) and Noah Tibbetts (Brewer, Maine) tied for 29th with an 86 (+14) card
- Sophomore Kyle Bowlan (Pelham, N.H.) finished 43rd (+19)
- Sophomore Noah Schaeffer (Gray, Maine) placed 42nd (90, +18)
- Freshman Charlie Gilbert (Gray, Maine) was 43rd (91, +19)
- Sophomore Chase Ranger (Farmington, Maine) placed 47th (97, +25)
- Junior Cam Raymond (Saco, Maine) was 51st (102, +30)
- Junior Ethan Theriault (Windham, Maine) was 52nd (106, +34)
- Freshman Cameron Gasbarrone (Gorham, Maine) finished 46th (96, +24)
- Senior James Gignac posted a 99 card
- Junior Nathan Nelson (Henniker, N.H.) placed 53rd (116, +44)
- Junior Samuel Plummer (Raymond, Maine) 54th (117, +49)

Saint Joseph's will compete in the Southern Maine Cup on Saturday at the Riverside Golf Course. A unique event, the Southern Maine cup features a Ryder Cup format with pairs of golfers playing six holes of best ball, six holes of scramble format and finally six holes of alternate shot golf.
