STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College (13-10, 8-2 GNAC) cruised to a 93-48 victory over Colby-Sawyer College (9-14, 9-14, 4-6 GNAC) on Mike McDevitt Court at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Saint Joseph's came out firing, opening with a 19-5 first quarter as the Monks' defense forced 11 turnovers and limited the Chargers to just 1-of-8 shooting from the floor. Saint Joseph's kept its foot on the gas in the second, erupting for 27 points to carry a commanding 46-16 advantage into halftime.
After a brief lull in the third—when Colby-Sawyer narrowly won the period, 15-14—the Monks finished in dominant fashion, outscoring the Chargers 33-17 in the fourth quarter to close out the 45-point victory.

Saint Joseph's scored 31 points off 24 Colby-Sawyer turnovers and coughed up the ball just eight times in today's triumph. The Monks also shot 46.9% (15-32) from three-point distance as eight different players tickled the twine from beyond the arc this afternoon.
