COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Four Saint Joseph's College student-athletes have been selected as National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Scholars of Distinction, as announced by the organization last week.
Senior Sadie Tirrell (Naples, Maine), junior Lexi Pelkey (Wales, Maine), and sophomores Katie Yeaton (Farmington, Maine) and Gabriella Thomas (Lewiston, Maine) are among the 543 field hockey players to claim the high academic honor, celebrates student-athletes who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the fall semester and were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
