STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been announced and Saint Joseph's College junior attack Brandon Cavicchi (Kingston, Mass.) has earned GNAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week accolades.

Cavicchi totaled six goals, one assist, and two ground balls in a 1-1 opening week for the Monks. He scored three times in an 11-9 setback at the University of New England before posting three goals, one assist, and two ground balls in a 12-7 victory over Salem State on Friday.

The weekly award is a career first for Cavicchi and marks the first time an SJC player has claimed GNAC weekly honors since Xavier Michaud '24 was selected as Player of the Week on April 15, 2024.

Saint Joseph's returns to action on Wednesday with a non-conference contest at Maine Maritime Academy. Opening face-off is set for 4:00 PM.
