FRANKLIN, Mass. – Senior guard Logan Brown (Brunswick, Maine) netted a program-record 10 three-pointers and scored a career-high 34 points to help Saint Joseph's College (11-10, 6-2 GNAC) roll past Dean College (7-14, 2-6 GNAC), 105-57, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon.
The SJC offense was nearly unstoppable against the Bulldogs' zone defense, as the Monks shattered the program single-game record for three-pointers made with 19, surpassing the previous mark of 15 set against Albertus Magnus on January 10, 2019, and also established a new team record with 37 attempts from beyond the arc (previous record: 36 in a win over Lasell on February 16, 2019).
Saint Joseph's maintained the pace throughout the afternoon, scoring at least 20 points in each quarter for the first time since January 31, 2023 (84-53 win at Rivier) and just the ninth time overall since NCAA women's basketball adopted the four-quarter format in 2015. The 105-point performance also marked the Monks' highest scoring output since a 105-68 victory over Rivier on January 31, 2019.
STATS OF THE GAME:
Saint Joseph's shot 55.9% (38-68) from the floor in the victory, the team's highest field goal percentage since the Monks posted a 57.9% (33-57) in a triumph over Rivier on February 25th, 2023. Saint Joseph's also scored 31 points on 21 Dean turnovers and held a 28-0 advantage in bench points.
