Six SJC Men's Lacrosse Players Earn CSC Academic All-District® Honors

STANDISH, Maine – The 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's At-Large teams have been announced and six Saint Joseph's College men's lacrosse student-athletes have earned recognition.

Sophomores Alec Henry (Hampstead, N.H.), Orion Kadar (Vergennes, Vt.), and Cody Southwick (Saco, Maine), juniors Zander Kirk (West Bath, Maine) and Reed Wescott (Windham, Maine), and senior Kevin Wood (Danvers, Mass.) have all earned CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time in their careers.

The 2026 CSC Academic All-District® At-Large Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately honors baseball student-athletes in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

The men's At-Large Academic All-District program encompasses 10 sports: fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, volleyball, water polo, and wrestling.

In order to be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team, student-athletes must possess at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, be a sophomore or older and have competed in a specific percentage of events during their respective seasons.

Under second-year head coach Matthew Gilbert, the Monks posted an 11-9 overall record and finished 7-4 in GNAC play during the 2026 season. Entering the conference tournament as the sixth seed, Saint Joseph's earned road victories over third-seeded Lasell University and second-seeded University of Saint Joseph before narrowly falling to top-seeded Rivier University, 8-7, in the GNAC Championship game.

Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 23, 2026.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
