KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NABC has announced the recipients of its 2025-26 Team Academic Excellence Awards and Honors Court, recognizing outstanding academic achievement by men's college basketball programs and student-athletes.

Saint Joseph's College posted a 3.18 team GPA to earn NABC Team Academic Excellence honors for the first time since 2021, when the Monks claimed the award for the fourth consecutive season. Seniors John Paul Frazier (York, Maine) and Jelani Freeman (Charlotte, N.C.), along with juniors Derek Salvatore (Johnston, R.I.) and Kolbyn Dunphe (Westbrook, Maine), also earned spots on the NABC Honors Court for their success in the classroom.

The recognition marks the first career NABC academic honor for each of the four Saint Joseph's student-athletes.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that complete the academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players who finish the academic year with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2.

The NABC presents the academic awards annually to teams and student-athletes from all levels of collegiate men's basketball.

"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "Education is one of the NABC's core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport."

More than 2,300 student-athletes earned NABC Honors Court recognition, while over 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for the 2025-26 academic year.
