BRUNSWICK, Maine – Junior goalkeeper Ashlyn Guerette (Merrimack, N.H.) made 12 saves as Saint Joseph's College (0-3-0) fell to Bowdoin College (1-1-0), 4-0, in non-conference women's soccer action at Pickard Field on Wednesday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Bowdoin scored four times during the opening 22 minutes, receiving two goals from Jackie Shores and one apiece from Cadence Lee and Annabel Callahan. The Monks settled in from there and held the Polar Bears scoreless for the final 68 minutes.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Guerette made eight saves in the first half and four after intermission.
Senior Madyson Ayres (Saco, Maine) recorded the Monks' lone shot on goal, forcing a save in the fifth minute.
Bowdoin held advantages of 27-2 in shots and 6-2 in corner kicks.
