NORTHFIELD, Vt.– The Saint Joseph's College Men's Cross Country team competed in the 2024 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Cross Country Championships, hosted by Norwich University on Saturday. The Monks, entering the meet as the defending GNAC champions, delivered a strong performance and secured a second-place team finish.

The Monks continued to build on last year's success, having captured their first-ever GNAC title in 2023. This year, junior
Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine), last season's GNAC Conference champion, once again led the Monks with an impressive second-place finish, clocking in at 26:03.0.
THE RUNDOWN:
Saint Joseph's College earned second place with a team score of 57 points and an average time of 28:42. Norwich University claimed the team title with 30 points, while Colby-Sawyer College finished third with 86 points.
Leading the way for Saint Joseph's was junior
Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine), who finished 2nd overall with a time of 26:03.0. Junior
Alexey Seredin (Peaks Island, Maine) followed with an 11th place finish at 28:53.1, while senior
Ryan Graham (Contoocook, N.H.) came in 13th with a time of 29:17.5.
Freshman
Michael Clarke (Naples, Maine) had a standout performance as the top rookie finisher for the Monks, finishing 18th with a time of 29:37.2. Completing the scoring for Saint Joseph's was freshman
Isaac Keresey (Pittsfield, Maine), who placed 19th with a time of 29:41.5.
