BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College of Maine men's cross country team competed at the Ron Ouellette Invitational, hosted by the University of New England on Saturday morning. Facing strong regional opponents, the Monks placed fifth overall with 140 points on the 5K course at Rotary Park.

NEED TO KNOW:

At the 2024 Ron Ouellette Invitational, the Monks had one of their best team showings in recent history, placing third overall with 88 points and averaging 17:12 per runner. Junior Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine) earned a podium finish, taking third place in 15:55, while Ryan Graham and Alexey Seredin also delivered top-25 efforts to help secure the team's success.

This fall, sophomore Isaac Keresey (Pittsfield, Maine) and senior Alexey Seredin (Peaks Island, Maine) led the way, finishing 23rd and 24th overall in near-identical times of 18:43. Saint Joseph's finished fifth with 140 points against a competitive field that included Southern Maine, UNE, Maine Maritime, and Thomas.

THE RUNDOWN:

The University of Southern Maine dominated the meet with 21 points, placing five runners in the top eight. UNE followed in second with 69 points, Maine Maritime was third with 70, Thomas placed fourth with 76, and Saint Joseph's rounded out the top five with 140.
