WINTHROP, Mass. - Heading into the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Cross Country Championship, the league's 10 coaches have conducted their votes for the 2025 pre-championship poll, highlighting defending champion Norwich as the favorite. The Cadets unanimously earned 10 first-place votes and 100 points, positioning themselves atop the rankings.
The four teams predicted to collect top five finishes in order are rounded out by Saint Joseph's College (Maine) – 80 points (second), Emmanuel College – 78 points (third), Lasell University – 58 points (fourth), and Colby-Sawyer College - 52 points (fifth).
Regis College checks in at sixth with 51 points, followed by Dean College at seventh (39 points) and Mitchell College at eighth (32 points). Rounding out the poll are New England College (NEC) and Elms College, tied for ninth with 30 points each.
The poll underscores a competitive field, with Norwich, SJC, and Emmanuel expected to vie for the championship, while teams like Lasell and Colby-Sawyer look to challenge the top contenders.
