STANDISH, Maine. – The Saint Joseph's College women's swimming & diving team competed in a meet against the Maine Maritime Mariners Saturday afternoon. The Mariners outpaced the Monks by a 149-111 margin.
The Monks had a first place finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with the team of
Elise Soucy (Saco, ME),
Berkley Hutchins (Springfield, VT), Cheri Williams (Belchertown, MA), and
Kiley Matthews (South Portland, ME) at 2:04.98. The Monks also collected a first place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with the team of Hutchins, Williams, Matthews, and
Tiffany Twombly (Sanford, ME) with a 1:51.48.
Tiffany Twombly had a strong performance for the Monks securing three first place finishes. Twombly finished first in the 400 Yard IM with a 5:17.48, the 50 Yard Breaststroke with a 34.49, and the 100 Yard IM with a 1:09.58.
Cheri Williams finished first in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:12.39.
Kiley Matthews secured a first place finish for the Monks in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 27.37.
Berkley Hutchins finished first in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:15.58.
