STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its 2025 women's soccer postseason awards, and two Saint Joseph's College players have earned honors for the first time in their careers.
Senior forward Sydney Gallop (Hermon, Maine) has been named Second Team All-Conference, while sophomore defender Maeve Davis (Scarborough, Maine) has earned Third Team All-GNAC recognition.
Gallop secured Second Team honors after posting career highs across the board, including nine goals, four assists, 22 points, 53 shots, a .170 shooting percentage, 35 shots on goal, a .660 shots-on-goal rate, and three game-winners. She started all 17 games and capped her career with 18 goals, eight assists, 44 points, and five game-winners in 51 contests, an impressive résumé after missing her sophomore season due to injury.
Davis earned Third Team accolades after anchoring a significantly improved backend for the Monks. The steady sophomore started all 17 matches, logged 1,200 minutes (fifth-most on the team), and contributed one assist with nine shots, including six on goal.
Saint Joseph's posted an 8-8-1 overall record and 7-5-1 GNAC mark in a strong bounce-back campaign under 13th-year Head Coach Jenelle Harris. Returning to the GNAC Tournament after a one-year absence, the #6-seeded Monks battled #3 Lasell University on November 1 in a tight quarterfinal match, ultimately falling 1-0 after the host Lasers broke a scoreless deadlock in the 85th minute.
