Giakoumis & Greenley Garner CSC Academic All-District® Honors

STANDISH, Maine – Junior Kylie Giakoumis (Middletown, N.Y.) and sophomore Riley Greenley (Newark, Del.) have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Team, as announced Tuesday afternoon.

Giakoumis, a social work major at Saint Joseph's and a first-time CSC Academic All-District® honoree, enjoyed a breakout season as a junior right-side hitter. She recorded 147 kills with a .188 attack percentage, added 47 digs and 30 total blocks, and appeared in 30 matches (102 sets) last fall.

Greenley, a medical biology (pre-physician assistant) major at SJC and also a first-time Academic All-District® selection, totaled 320 assists, 24 service aces, and 124 digs while playing in 30 matches (82 sets) during the 2025 campaign.

Saint Joseph's wrapped up the fall with an 18–13 overall record and an 11–2 GNAC mark under eighth-year head coach Jon Roberts. The Monks earned the No. 3 seed in the GNAC Tournament and defeated No. 6 Simmons University, 3–1, in the quarterfinals on November 11, marking the program's second-ever GNAC home playoff match and first since 2015. SJC advanced to the semifinal round for the third straight year before falling to eventual GNAC champion Lasell University two days later.

The CSC Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® programs honor the nation's top women's volleyball student-athletes for their combined excellence in competition and in the classroom across four divisions (NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA). Academic All-District® honorees who are designated with an asterisk advance to the national Academic All-America® ballot, with first-, second-, and third-team selections scheduled to be announced on January 13.

To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® Volleyball Teams, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, and have either competed in at least 90% of their institution's matches or started at least 66% of those matches.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with awards fulfillment for the 2025–26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
