STANDISH, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College of Maine women's basketball team (19-6, 12-2) topped the Dean College Bulldogs (2-11, 0-14) 91-37 in the last regular season GNAC contest of the season on Saturday afternoon at home.
Prior to the start of the game, the Monks honored senior
Mackenzie Currie (Merrimac, MA) in a senior day ceremony.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Monks wasted no time setting the tone, racing out to a 9-2 lead and never relinquishing control. Dean trimmed the deficit to 9-5 at the 4:23 mark, but Saint Joseph's responded with a dominant 13-3 run, closing the first quarter with a commanding 13-point advantage.
The Bulldogs managed to stay within 20 points early in the second quarter, but the Monks' offensive firepower continued to surge as they extended their lead to 29 points at halftime.
Saint Joseph's overwhelmed Dean in the third quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 27-11 to take a 72-27 lead heading into the final frame. Despite Dean's efforts to limit the damage in the fourth, the Monks pushed their advantage to as much as 56 points before closing out a decisive 91-37 victory.

- Madison Lebel (Hermon, ME) recorded a game high of 11 rebounds and added an assist
- Logan Brown (Brunswick, ME) tallied 11 points, five rebounds,and three assists
- Mackenzie Currie contributed three points, seven rebounds, and a steal on senior day
