STANDISH, Maine – Head Coach Will Pike '11 has announced the men's soccer Class of 2029.
Coach Pike, who is about to begin his seventh year as the Monks' skipper, has brought in 9 players – Two midfielders, three wingers, three defenders, two goalkeepers, and one forward from three different states, and Kenya. The Monks battled to an even 8-8-3 overall record and a strong 7-5-2 mark in GNAC play. The team posted nine shutouts and outscored opponents 28-23 on the season while averaging 13 shots per game. Junior Gus Ford led the attack with six goals, while keeper Liam Foley anchored the defense with a .781 save percentage and seven solo shutouts.
"Excited about the group coming in this year" adds Coach Pike. "We have a mix of young talent as well as experienced transfers. It's going to be interesting to see who is going to push for playing time."
The Monks will kick off the 2025 season with a non-conference game versus Wheaton College on Friday, August 29th. Kick-off is slated for 7:00 PM.

Why Saint Joseph's? The soccer team is what mostly appealed to me. They have a very strong program with a lot of history, so it is an honor to be able to be a part of the squad. Also, the community at Saint Joseph's College seems very accepting and feels like home.
