STANDISH, Maine – The first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards of the 2025-26 academic year have been announced and Saint Joseph's College freshman Finn Manning (Carver, Mass.) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Golf Player and Rookie of the Week.
Competing in his first NCAA action, Manning paced the Monks with a 77 (+5) score and tied for seventh overall in the University of Southern Maine Tri-Match at Riverside Golf Course in Portland, Maine on Friday.
Manning becomes just the third player in program history to collect GNAC Player and Rookie of the Week honors in the same reporting period, and the first since Cade Buckley accomplished the feat on October 11, 2021. The only other Monk to achieve the dual distinction was standout Cam Letourneau '19, who secured Player and Rookie accolades on back-to-back weeks (September 21 and 28, 2015) during the 2015 campaign.
Saint Joseph's will host the 22nd Annual John Queenan Memorial Tournament on Wednesday, September 3rd at the Point Sebago Golf Course. Husson, Maine Maritime, UMaine-Farmington, University of Southern Maine, University of New England, CMCC, Gordon, and SMCC will join St. Joe's to compete in this year's event.
