STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been announced and Saint Joseph's College freshman Kiera Gabric (Hampden, Maine) has been named as the GNAC Softball Rookie of the Week.
Gabric batted .348 (8-for-23) with 10 runs scored, two RBI, and four stolen bases over eight games for Saint Joseph's in Florida during the week. She posted three multi-hit games, highlighted by a 3-for-4 performance with two runs scored and a double in a 9-4 win over Washington College. Gabric also reached base at a .444 clip and played a key role in sparking the Monks' offense throughout the week.
Saint Joseph's (4-6) opens conference play with a doubleheader at University of Saint Joseph on Sunday at 12:00 PM.
