STANDISH, Maine – The 2026 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's basketball postseason honors have been announced and a pair of Saint Joseph's College players have earned accolades.
Senior guard Elisabeth Stapelfeld (Brookline, N.H.) is a First Team All-Conference selection and senior guard Logan Brown (Brunswick, Maine) has claimed Second Team All-Conference honors.
Stapelfeld collected the first All-Conference honor of her collegiate career after a breakout senior season in which she emerged as Saint Joseph's top offensive option and one of the GNAC's most efficient guards.
Stapelfeld led the Monks in scoring average (14.6 PPG), total points (379), field goals made (133), field-goal percentage (43.6%), free throws made (83), free throws attempted (109), free-throw percentage (76.1%), assists per game (2.6), and total assists (68). She ranked among the conference leaders in multiple categories, finishing fourth in free throws made and free-throw percentage, fifth in scoring average and total points, and ninth in both field goals made and three-point percentage.
Stapelfeld also became the 28th member of the Monks' 1,000-Point Club during the season, joining her sister, Cassandra Stapelfeld '22 (1,683 career points), to become the only sibling duo represented on Saint Joseph's 1,000-Point Club banner.
In 112 career games (105 starts), Stapelfeld averaged 10.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 47.1% (444-943) from the field, 32.5% (81-249) from three-point range, and 75.0% (249-332) from the free-throw line. She totaled 1,218 points (13th in program history), 253 rebounds, 240 assists, and 116 steals in her career.
Brown also earned the first All-Conference honor of her collegiate career after posting career-best numbers during a standout senior season and emerging as one of the Monks' top perimeter threats.
Brown played in and started all 28 games for Saint Joseph's as a senior and averaged 12.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 37.9% (90-237) from the field, 39.1% from three-point range, and 71.2% (79-111) from the free-throw line. She finished the year with 88 rebounds, 41 assists, and 28 steals.
Brown's three-point production was historic, as her totals in three-pointers made and attempted both ranked as the second-highest single-season marks in program history.
In 114 career games over four seasons, Brown averaged 7.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 38.5% (275-714) from the field and 39.2% (195-497) from beyond the arc. She closed her career with 195 three-pointers made, the third-highest total in program history, while her 497 three-point attempts rank sixth all-time.
Led by first-year head coach Chris Woodside, Saint Joseph's posted a 17-11 overall record with a 10-2 record in conference play en route to claiming the #2 seed in the GNAC Tournament. The Monks opened postseason play having won eight straight games and extended the win streak with tourney wins over Norwich University and Albertus Magnus College before falling to Emmanuel College in the GNAC Championship on March 1.
