Wood & Cavicchi Collect All-Conference Honors

STANDISH, Maine - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's lacrosse postseason awards have been announced and a pair of Saint Joseph's College players have earned All-Conference honors.

Senior defender Kevin Wood (Danvers, Mass.) collected First Team All-GNAC accolades, while junior attack Brandon Cavicchi (Kingston, Mass.) was named to the Third Team.

Wood, a 2023 and 2025 Second Team honoree, earns First Team recognition after recording career highs in ground balls (47) and caused turnovers (32). A team captain and 2026 GNAC All-Tournament Team selection, Wood helped anchor the Saint Joseph's defense during the sixth-seeded Monks' postseason run to the program's first GNAC Championship game appearance.

For his career, Wood appeared in 67 games with 63 starts and totaled four goals, three assists, 122 ground balls, and 84 caused turnovers. He graduates ranked fourth in program history in caused turnovers.

Cavicchi earns the first All-Conference honor of his career after starting all 20 games and tallying 46 goals, 27 assists, 73 points, and 38 ground balls. He led the Monks in assists and points and ranked second on the team in shots (133) and shots on goal (84).

Through three seasons, Cavicchi has played in 44 games and totaled 79 goals, 36 assists, 115 points, 77 ground balls, and 10 caused turnovers. He ends his junior season ranked eighth in program history in goals, 10th in points, 11th in shots on goal (152), and 14th in shots (257).

Under second-year Head Coach Matthew Gilbert, Saint Joseph's finished 11-9 overall with a 7-4 record in conference play and earned the #6 seed in the GNAC Tournament.
