WENHAM, MA - Carolyn Freeman '10 (Portland, ME/McAuley) registered a double-double with 12 rebounds and 11 points and Meghan Daigle '10 (Grantham, NH) led all scorers with 18 points as Saint Joseph's (3-1) defeated Gordon College (0-5) , 51-36, on Tuesday evening.

St. Joe's held a 19-13 lead at the end of the first half and went on to outscore the Scots, 32-23, in the second stanza to secure the 51-36 triumph. Daigle scored all 18 of her points in the second half to help the Lady Monks post a comfortable 15-point win.

The double-double effort by Freeman, who made three of four shots from beyond the arc in the win, was her second of the season and ninth of her career. Daigle was 7-14 from the field and 4-6 from the line and Allison Miner '10 (Pembroke, NH) had nine rebounds and six points. Erin Cartwright 11 (Acton, MA) notched six points for St. Joe's and Amelia Lamb '12 (Topsham, ME), Dana Clark '12 (South Thomaston, ME) and Kayla Nowell '11 (Bridgton, ME) all recorded their first collegiate points in the win.

Sophomore Sara Schwanke led the Scots in scoring with 10, as she scored 9 of her 10 points in the first half.

St. Joe's will host Maine-Machias on Sunday at 1:00 PM while Gordon will host Smith College on December 2nd at 7:00 PM.
