WESTON, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's College women's swimming & diving team competed in a dual meet with Regis College and UMASS Dartmouth. The Pride outpaced the Monks by a
164-69 margin while the Monks posted a 115-65 win over the Corsairs.
Cheri Williams claimed a first-place finish at the meet for the Monks in 50-yard fly with a time of 31:18. In the 1000-yard free and posted a 12:59.31 to collect second place in the event. Williams also competed in the 200-yard free relay and secured a first place finish with Brianna Letourneau,
Kiley Matthews, and
Elise Soucy.
Elise Soucy competed in the 50-yard back event clocking in at 34.36, as well as the 100-yard back with a time of 1:12.91, both good for second-place finishes
Tiffany Twombly had a strong performance for the Monks securing second-place finishes in three events. Twombly opened with a 35.63 in the 50-yard breast, followed by a 1:18.40 in the 100-yard breast, and lastly a 1:11.52 in the 100-yard IM.
Kiley Matthews secured a first place finish for the Monks in the 100-yard free with a time of 1:01.10. Matthews also recorded a second place finish in the 50-yard free with a 27.43 and contributed to the Monks 200-yard free relay win.
Brianna Letourneau recorded a second place finish in the 100-yard fly with a 1:14.44 and a third place finish in the 200-yard free with 2:21.62. Letourneau also competed for the Monks in their first pace finish in the 200-yard relay.
The Monks are back in action on November 29th at Colby College.
