BRIDGTON, Maine–The Saint Joseph's College alpine ski teams hosted a pair of USCSA Reynolds Division grand slalom races at Pleasant Mountain on Sunday. The Saint Joseph's women finished first with 12 points and a total time of 4:39.65 while the men finished second with 12 place points and a 4:07.86 total time.
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
UMaine-Farmington Beavers took home the men's title with 9 place points and total time of 4:07.64. The SJC men's team posted 12 points for a second place finish. Bowdoin placed third with 31 points, New England College finished fourth (69 pts), and Bates was sixth (69pts).
FOR THE MONKS:
- Junior Colin Rathbone (Groton, MA) finished 3rd with a 1:22.26 (42.17, 40.09)
- Jack Price (Franconia, N.H.) finished fourth with a 1:22.68 (42.23, 40.45)
- Caleb Gorton (Goffstown, N.H.) finished fifth (1:22.92, 42.40/40.52)
- Owen Pethic (Canterbury, N.H.) finished 22nd with a 1:37.68 (49.85, 47.83)
- Junior Jacob Gilmore (Naples, ME) finished 34th with a 1:51.52 (58.95, 52.57)
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:
The SJC women's team posted 12 points for a first place finish with a total time of 4:39.65, The University of Maine-Farmington Beavers finished in second place wth a time of 4:52.49 (28 points), University of Maine Orono finished third (32 points), New England College finished fourth (37 points), Bowdoin finished fifth (50 points), and Bates (102) and CSC (102) in sixth.
FOR THE MONKS:
- Sophomore Hannah Golden (Concord, N.H.) finished fourth with 1:32.68 (46.74, 45.94)
- Maddie Zordan (New Hartford, CT) finished fifth with a 1:33.24 (48.25, 44.99)
- Katie Yeaton (Farmington, ME) finished sixth with a 1:33.73 (47.53, 46.20)
- Junior Sienna Mack (Lincoln, N.H.) was seventh (1:35.40, 48.96/46.44)
- Lily Anctil finished eighth with a 1:35.57 (49.11, 46.46)
- Meghan Cyr finished 12th with 1:39.08 (50.07, 48.01)
- Senior Lillian Souweine (Bangor, Maine) placed 13th 1:41.25 (51.58, 49.67)
