WINTHROP, Mass. – The 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Soccer Championship field is set, with defending champion Emmanuel College securing the No. 1 seed. Eight teams will battle for the league crown and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Saint Joseph's College (7-5-1 GNAC, 22 points), which earned the No. 6 seed, will travel to face No. 3 Lasell (10-2-1 GNAC, 31 points) in Saturday's quarterfinals. The Monks dropped a tight 1-0 decision to the Lasers during the regular season and will be aiming for payback in hopes of springing one of the tournament's biggest upsets.
At the top of the bracket, Emmanuel (11-0-2 GNAC, 35 points) rolled past Lasell 4-0 in its finale to clinch the regular-season crown and enters the tournament riding a six-game winning streak. The Saints will host No. 8 Norwich (5-5-3 GNAC, 18 points), a side that managed a 1-1 draw against Emmanuel earlier this fall.
Rivier (11-1-1 GNAC, 34 points) earned the No. 2 seed after edging Simmons 1-0 to finish the season on a seven-game tear. The Raiders will meet No. 7 University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (6-6-1 GNAC, 19 points), who closed their slate with a 5-1 rout of Elms and will look to avenge an early-season 2-1 loss to Rivier.
The No. 4 Albertus Magnus Falcons (9-1-3 GNAC, 30 points) and No. 5 Regis Pride (8-4-1 GNAC, 25 points) round out the quarterfinal matchups. Both clubs are hot entering the postseason, with Albertus riding a three-game winning streak and Regis unbeaten in its last seven. Albertus claimed a narrow 1-0 victory in their regular-season meeting.
Quarterfinal action begins Saturday, November 1, with all games set for 1:00 PM. Winners will advance to the semifinals on Wednesday, November 5, and the GNAC Championship is scheduled for Saturday, November 8. The 2025 champion will not only lift the conference trophy but also secure the GNAC's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
