CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine–The Saint Joseph's College alpine ski teams competed in giant slalom events at Sugarloaf on Saturday.
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
The Monks finished sixth with 62 place points. Competing for the Monks at the Eastern Regional Championships were Jack Price, Caleb Gorton, Colin Rathbone, Sam Plummer, and Owen Pethic.
FOR THE MONKS:
- Jack Price (Franconia, N.H.) finished 14th with a 1:25.53 (42.75, 42.78)
- Caleb Gorton (Goffstown, N.H.) finished 20th (1:26.15, 42.81/43.34)
- Colin Rathbone (Groton, MA) finished 28th (1:27.01, 43.07/43.94)
- Sam Plummer (Raymond, ME) finished 49th (1:34.45, 47.33/47.12)
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:
The SJC women's team posted a ninth place finish on Saturday in the giant slalom. Competing for the Monks women's team were Maddie Zordan, Lily Anctil, Hannah Golden, Sienna Mack, and Katie Yeaton.
FOR THE MONKS:
- Maddie Zordan (New Hartford, CT) finished 24th (1:34.81, 46.82/48.04)
- Lily Anctil (Greene, Maine) finished 39th with a 1:38.96 (48.97/49.99)
- Sophomore Hannah Golden (Concord, N.H.) finished 42nd with 1:41.17 (49.16, 52.01)
- Sienna Mack (Lincoln, NH) finished 47th (1:46.03, 51.44/54.59)
