HENNIKER, NH–The Saint Joseph's College alpine ski teams competed in slalom events at Pats Peak on Sunday to complete their regular season. The Saint Joseph's men finished second with 21 points (5:24.76) and the women finished second with a total time of 5:56.08 (17 points). Jack Price highlighted the Monks' performance with a first place podium finish.
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
The Monks finished second to the UMaine-Farmington Beavers and ahead of Bowdoin (3rd), UMaine-Orono (4th), New England College (5th), and Colby-Sawyer College (6th).
FOR THE MONKS:
- Jack Price (Franconia, N.H.) finished first with a 1:41.55 (49.31, 52.24)
- Caleb Gorton (Goffstown, N.H.) finished fourth (1:45.98, 51.95, 54.03)
- Owen Pethic (Canterbury, N.H.) finished 16th with a 1:57.23 (58.13, 59.10)
- Sam Plummer finished 19th (1:58.81, 57.73, 1:01.08)
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:
The SJC women's team posted a second place finish behind the UMaine- Farmington Beavers and ahead of New England College (3rd), UMaine- Orono (4th), Bowdoin College (5th), Bates College (6th), and Colby-Sawyer College (6th). The Monks' performance was highlighted by Maddie Zordan's first place finish in Race 2 and second place finish Race 1.
FOR THE MONKS:
- Maddie Zordan finished fourth (1:54.61, 56.40, 58.21)
- Katie Yeaton (Farmington, ME) finished sixth with a 1:59.31 (59.47, 59.84)
- Sophomore Hannah Golden (Concord, N.H.) finished seventh with 2:02.16 (59.22, 1:02.94)
- Sienna Mack finished 10th (2:02.71, 1:00.31/1:02.40)
- Meghan Cyr (Hampden, Maine) finished 12th with 2:04.10 (1:01.84, 1:02.26)
- Senior Lillian Souweine (Bangor, Maine) placed 15th 2:11.86 (1:03.87, 1:07.99)
- Lily Anctil (Greene, Maine) finished 19th with a 2:14.70 (1:07.34, 1:07.36)
- Reese Burke (Center Barnstead, N.H.) finished 23rd (2:23.60 , 1:11.53/1:12.07)
