The Saint Joseph's College Monks (7-15, 2-2) took on the Husson University Eagles (9-9, 0-0) on Friday, April 11th, at 3 pm and 5 pm, in Bangor, ME.
Game #1: Husson 2, Saint Joseph's 0
The Eagles held the Monks to two hits with
Chantelle Bouchard (Biddeford, ME) recording a double to left field in the sixth and
Charlotte Cloutier (Lewiston, ME) singling up the middle for the Monks in the second.
Madison Pelletier (New Gloucester, ME) allowed two runs on five hits and recorded one walk and two strikeouts. The Eagles broke through in the bottom of the second scoring on a sacrifice fly. Husson added an insurance run in the fifth when Lydia Rice tripled to left field and scored on Camdyn King's sacrifice fly.
For the Eagles, Sky Johnson threw seven complete innings and struck out seven batters while walking one. Tatyanna Biambi recorded two hits for the Eagles and Bulla McCabe, Kiara McCleod, and Lydia Rice led the offense with each contributing a hit.
Game #2: Husson 5, Saint Joseph's 1
The Eagles took an early lead in the final game of the doubleheader putting two runs on the board in the first inning. Husson added three additional runs early in the third inning and later scored their fifth and sixth runs on a two-run single.
Sadie Tirrell (Naples, ME) led the Monks offense and went 3 for 4 at the plate and scored the Monks' lone run after reaching second base on a double.

Abbie Green-Sermak (Rehoboth, MA) each recorded a hit for the Monks.
Rylee Page (Somersworth, NH) threw three complete innings and allowed five runs on eight hits. Page allowed one walk and had one strikeout. Mia Northrup (Whitefield, ME) came in to relieve and allowed two hits throughout three innings.
For the Eagles, Bulla McCabe recorded two hits and two runs while Tayler Watterson, Julia Gregoire, Kiara McCleod, Morgan Tainter, and Lexi Volinsky each had a hit. Tori Exel led the Eagles with three hits. In the circle, Ana Lang threw seven complete innings and allowed one run on seven hits. Lang recorded two walks and 11 strikeouts.
