Women's Soccer 2025 Incoming Class Announced

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College Women's Soccer Head Coach Jenelle Harris is pleased to announce the 2025 Women's Soccer incoming recruiting class.

Entering her 14th season at the helm, Coach Harris welcomes eight talented first-year student-athletes to the program ahead of the 2025 campaign. The Monks look to build on the foundation established last fall, which included conference wins over Mitchell, Elms, New England College, Dean, and Anna Maria. The 2024 squad posted a 5-12-1 overall record, with Sydney Gallop leading the offensive effort (6 goals, 3 assists) and goalkeeper Ashlyn Guerette collecting 95 saves and three shutouts in net. 

The Monks will kick off the 2025 season with a non-conference game versus University of New England on Friday, August 29th. Kick-off is slated for 4:00 PM.

Why Saint Joseph's? I decided to attend this school because it has a great nursing program with a strong reputation, and I believe it will give me a solid foundation for my future career in healthcare.

High School: Six-sport athlete at Presque Isle…varsity soccer (3 years), JV soccer (1 year), outdoor track and field (4 years), volleyball (4 years), alpine ski (1 year), cheerleading (1 year), and indoor track and field (1 year)…goalkeeper in soccer…competed in 100m and 300m hurdles, triple jump, long jump, shotput, and 4x100m relay in track…base/back in cheer…Podium finisher in the 100m hurdles for three consecutive years…recorded 5 shutouts sophomore year, 6 junior year, and allowed just 4 goals senior year… All-Conference Second Team (sophomore & junior), First Team and Senior Regional All-Star (senior), recipient of the Butch Shaw Award…participated in Senior All-Star Game at Thomas College...Academically recognized on honor roll all senior year… Over 40 hours at organizations including Nordic Heritage Center and Aroostook Humane Society.

Why Saint Joseph's? I heard about Saint Joseph's through my dad, and when I visited I really loved how inviting the soccer team is and the community they've built. I also really loved learning about the nursing program and everything it has to offer.

High School: Four-year soccer athlete…played midfield…also competed in track (2 years) and tennis (1 year)...Helped Norwell High School win the 2023 D3 Girls Soccer State Championship and reach the 2024 Final Four…Played for South Shore Select (11 years)...Volunteer coach for brother's soccer team…served with volunteer corps and South Shore Half Marathon.
